Norovirus, and you know the disgusting symptoms that go with it: puking, diarrhea, more puking, peeing on myself because I was too weak and dizzy to get up...
One of my roommates had it a few days ago; she has no idea where she picked it up, but the other two of us just got symptomatic last night. In the next few moments I am going to venture into the magical world of Ramen to see if I can keep it down. yippee

I've not had a stomach but for 24 years.

I'm 3 weeks out from a positive covid test (the first time ever),,,, It was stunning and it's taking awhile to get better,,, (all at home so it could have been worse)

(94,939 posts)Sorry to hear that. I hope I never catch that but from the symptoms, I may have had it in the past.
I just had a vaccine on Friday, for shingles, and they warned it could make me ill for a day or two. I did feel crappy but I have other problems that made it worse so I got little sleep last night until I remembered to make a cup of hemp tea. It's strong CBD and after about fifteen minutes I could go to bed and sleep some.
I hope you all recover quickly! Get potassium and electrolytes in you as soon as possible. Drink some emergen-C or gatorade or some energy drink, clear fluid. Your body needs that right now, will help you feel better sooner.

(36,253 posts)medicine and settle the stomach so after the worst of the symptoms have passed, mom would give me a little of the juice. If that stayed down, she'd have me eat a few berries. Then I knew everything would be alright. Then it was either toast or a small baked potato.
The one thing I always have in my cupboard is a can of blackberries -- just in case.
I hope you feel better soon!

And while not medicinal, in this instance, when I visited my cousin studying at Denver Uni (he took me up into The Rockies by motorcycle!) The house, he and a roommate rented had wild blackberry bushes in the backyard. A tasty dessert!

(1,020 posts)Canned blackberries sounds interesting. But for sure watch your electrolytes. Hearing you describe it brings me flashbacks of west nile. I've never been so sick in my life. I really feel for you, and i really hope that i don't get it. 😏 🫶🏼

(2,365 posts)and tried to make another post, but I was too sick to type properly and the kitten kept erasing or adding to what I typed so I just gave up.
I think it's Tuesday but not because I remember Sunday and Monday, they are kind of vague images in there.
I'd like to think I am on the end of this thing but I am pretty sure that I would regret eating something right now, and expect to be back on the couch very soon.
You definitely don't want to catch whatever this is. Thanks to ya'll for all the good vibes!
