In this weather where I'm not taking him to the dog park, he dawdles at business time in the backyard.
He was MUCH more efficient this morning & I'd expect more of the same the next couple days.

2. 9 below in Northern Colorado this AM--where my sweet doggy girl, a friend & his dogs just did our pre-dawn

hike around the lake at the dog park. Snow had stopped but the geese & ducks were still squawking from their more protected areas... Cold, but as Tim Walz said, it is merely a matter of the right clothes (and some lanolin for my pup's tender paws)..

6. We Had -23 In 2014

Pretty sure that was January, but the whole winter was rough.
I was in the Philippines for a week, then came home to 9 straight days with highs below zero, including a couple where the high temperature was -12 or worse.
Odd thing that year was that every time the temperature got to -2 or -3°, it snowed.
I didn't remember another winter with significant snow accumulation at such low temperatures.
It was the polar vortex collapse year where it was cold almost everywhere in the US.
At least this is only going to last a couple days this time. Like last year.
