Having all the fun.

With the cold dry weather I’m a static charge king. It doesn’t bother me but anybody gets near me gets it. The cats and dog isn’t to happy with me either.

and mist the rug, floors or yourself. No more static charge. It only takes a small amount of water to be effective and works like a charm.

Either your shoes are acting as an insulator or the floor you're on is an insulator.

Try leather moccasins!

Or you can try touching metal objects often to discharge the static charge you've built up...

I think the cats are enjoying it now. They started coming back to me and rubbing my legs building up a charge. My dog still hesitates coming up to me.

from explainthatstuff.com snip/

"Zap! When a bolt of lightning leaps to the ground, we get a sudden, very vivid demonstration of the power of static electricity (electrical energy that has gathered in one place)."

Wow, I had no idea lightening is static electricity!
