I was a bit disappointed overall. I was hoping for a lot more full performances.
Worth the watch, I suppose, but I was hoping for more.

Most of the stuff seemed barely adequate or just poor quality. Disappointing, because I watched SNL for years and I know damn well I saw a good amount of entertaining music.

They booked people like Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarrett, Kate Bush, Peter Tosh, Captain Beefheart...acts that you weren't going to see anywhere else on TV.

Unfortunately, after a while it devolved into putting on the same popular music that you could consume anywhere.
