When I visit family in Canada I score some to bring home as well, but I can't do this too often--travel from Hawaii is expensive.

Funny story, well, to me. As a child before I could read, I had a heath bar. I guess someone gave it to me. After that when I would go to the store for a candy bar, I didn't know the name but looked for a similar package. I went through several candy bars until finally one day I found it! The elusive Heath bar! The clouds parted. The sun shone!! I found my favorite candy bar!!

anywhere for years. They were a maple cream filling with pecans and covered in chocolate. They were a flat round shape. The packaging was in a sack shape with a covered wagon on the cover. Now my favorite is Payday or

If I could only have one, it would be a nice Plain Jane Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar. There are so many good ones today. Another one that is close to the top of the heap is Snickers Peanut Butter. My Wife's favorite is a Regular Snickers.

The grown ups, thought I was allergic. They tried to substitute licorice. I spit out and nearly barfed all over for that stunt.

At any rate, once I was old enough to walk to the corner store, I got Butterfingers, Chunkies with fruit and nuts in them, Skybars, and Junior Mints. In liked all them.

A candy bar cost 5 cents, then kept going up, in price to a dime and beyond.
