Itch or hurt?

We live where now it’s “No-see-um” outbreak.

The bite itches so much I will dig my nail into it to make it hurt.

I have others who do the same and others think that’s it’s crazy.

I’d rather it hurt than itch. Same with mosquito bites.

How about you?

As a kid, I figured out if I scratched off the top layer of skin over the bite, then applied alcohol, the itch went away. I thought it was because it got the venom out.

And do they ever itch. Scratching makes the whole thing much worse. They last about a week unless you get a secondary infection from scratching. Its a midwest thing, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri…

10. Mosquitos don't bother me. One time, I stepped into a fire ant nest and didn't know it until it was too late

They all stung at once. I had to drive home barefoot. Couldn't wear shoes for a month. They itch like crazy.

I've also had chiggers. (ugh)

I will scratch until it bleeds. I hate itching and I suffer from idiopathic hives! talk about itching that I can't do much about. HATE

Dab a little Vicks VapoRub on it. My oldest sister lives in Mexico and they use Vicks for any insect bite. Works better for me than cortisone cream! Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

These two astringents clean the wound/bite and stop the itch. No need to self mutilate!

Vinegar and my personal favorite: Witch Hazel.

A good combination product is SsssstingStop.
