Dick Button (figure skating) has died. Pics of him at the Olympics in 1948-52

Button's impact on figure skating was transformative. In 1948, he won gold at the St. Moritz WinterOlympics, becoming the first American man to claim the title. That same year, he made history by landing the first-ever double axel in competition. Four years later, at the 1952 Oslo Games, he secured his second Olympic gold and stunned audiences by performing the first triple jump ever attempted in an international event.
