Beatles Royal Variety Performance 1963

I stumbled across this video of the Beatles Performing live at the Royal Variety Performance. This is the show where John Lennon poked fun at the Royals with his comment: "for the people in the cheap seats clap your hands, and the rest of you just rattle your jewelry" (At about the 9:25 mark).

I'm amazed at how great their live performance was, vocals in particular, especially considering the equipment at the time.

You're welcome! I remember watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. My dad also used to bring home the latest Beatle 45 when he would come back from business trips.

Standing at attention and watching and listening while "God Save the Queen" was playing. I think they were identified in an announcement, but the sound quality is so blurry and indistinct, I'm not sure I heard it correctly.

Thank you very much for sharing that with all of us.
