GLUTEZONI

I was getting a drink at the water fountain at my gym when, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a sign that said GLUTEZONI. Hmmm, that kind of rhymes with ZAMBONI I thought, and intrigued, decided to investigate. I quickly discovered that my vision had been partially obscured and the sign actually said GLUTEZONE.

The GLUTEZONE is a bunch of weight machines, each offering a way to tone or bulk up glutei maximi. I don't do those exercises myself but I understand they are really good for strengthening the lower back and alleviating back pain.

Update from the GLUTEZONE:
It appears that young females must suffer from back pain disproportionately to the rest of the population.

Sounds like ice cream that settles around your butt.

I do know something about glutes and lower back pain. I discovered, last year, that I had tendinitis in ALL the tendons attached to my glutes, all the way across my lower back. I though my hip was going and I had digestive issues. Once I started getting treatment for it, after a couple sessions, my digestive issues resolved and I was able to move a little better. Takes a long time to get rid of tendinitis, still working on it. If you don't exercise those glutes enough, can be a problem. I have to do stretches every day to keep things from getting bad.

I have had lower back pain off and on for decades. I started doing stretches the last couple of years and I think it has helped a lot. I go to the gym most days but spend most of my time on a treadmill or a stationary bike reading my Kindle. I do weights as little as my conscience will allow and I never do glute machines.
