How's your New Year's resolution going? (A trivial brag)

Most years my resolutions last until about 11:00AM on January 1st, but this year I really dug in.

It's nothing major, but it's a project I've been noodling with on and off for literal decades. It's basically a long list, the nature of which I'll disclose if you care, but at the start of the year it needed about 7,000 entries to complete.

I resolved to add at least 50 per day, and I've kept going so far, though strictly speaking I'm actually averaging 50 a day; some days I do 75 or 100, and some days because of work or other stuff I do 25 or even zero. But the average has held.

I feel low-key good about this, since I'm not great about sticking with longterm projects that I set for myself, at least not consistently. This one's mostly a labor of love, though, so I really want to see it through to he end. Just 5,000 to go, give or take.

How about you?

Has to with weight, but I'm going to have to do a better job of getting past the donut case at Safeway.

I enjoyed a nice, thick Permanut butter and jam sandwich. I didn't really need it, but I wanted it and it was good going down!

So long as you keep the question of the day threads coming, all will be well. One.day, we will have great cause to celebrate!

I didn't make any resolutions.

I mostly don't do NY resolutions because I don't need help setting myself up to fail, but I MAY get my desk moved by the end of January 2022.

then you've knocked off approx. 1,900 entries so far this year. If you maintain the pace, then you should achieve your objective by about May 20th!

Congrats on maintaining your discipline.

Many years ago I resolved to not make any New Years resolutions.

It's the only one I've kept.
