Im out of vodka. Ill pick up a new bottle tomorrow. Right now, enjoying my bottle of The Botanist. Hands down the best gin Ive ever tasted. My stepson recommended it to me, and it doesnt disappoint.
Its made by an Islay distillery, the same Scottish island where they make single malts like Lagavulin and Laphroaigh. My stepson said their gin is smooth enough to drink neat, just like their Scotch.
I had my doubts. For me, gin is best as a mixer, when you want a tart, tangy cocktail with a bitter edge. Nope. He was right. The Botanist is superb gin, and I polished off a glass of it, neat, the moment I got the bottle home. I recommend it highly.
Now enjoying a Gin and Sin; gin, orange juice, lemon juice, and a dash of grenadine. Nice!
Finally done with new-job on-boarding. Monday, I start seeing patients again; five months to the day after being laid off. Im very excited. The team Im working with is superb.

(122,212 posts)hearing of it. Will have to look for it. I do have a bottle of espresso martini from Trader Joe's. It made me think that your vodka, some chocolate syrup.. .
