Opened my Autoship box with Dakota's food. In addition to what I had ordered there was 2 boxes of Pedigree Canned dog food and a bag of non prescription flea and tick control treats.
I checked my credit card and they had only charged me for Dakota's food. I called to let them know, and they told me I don't need to send them back, as someone in the fulfillment center must have accidentally packed them in my box. They said I could either keep them or donate them. They are not what I give Dakota so the doggies at our local Humane Society will be receiving an unexpected gift, thanks to Chewey. What a great company!

(62,739 posts)When I called Chewy to cancel an autoship order following the death of my beloved senior rescue kitty, the lady said they would send flowers.
I requested thar they channel that money to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue to help them post-hurricane. I told the woman flowers are always lovely, but Trixie has no use for them &, while I appreciate the sentiment, I can live without them. But rescue animals might not survive without all the help we can send.
Chewy graciously honored my request with a $100 donation in my name, a beautiful tribute to Trixue's memory.

(3,875 posts)When I canceled my Autoship order because my previous shepherd, Marnie needed to be euthanized at 5 years old due to cancer, they said the Autoship had already gone out, but they would refund my money anyway. Their representative said to donate the food to a shelter in Marnie's memory. She offered her sympathy and was so kind to me. A few days later they sent me a beautiful sympathy card!

(6,668 posts)When my little Teddy passed away last summer, just weeks short of his sixteenth birthday, I asked Chewy about returning some of the unopened heart medication and pain med that I had bought for him. They immediately refunded what I had paid for those, which was about $160. They also suggested that I could donate the drugs, or do whatever I wanted with them, and they sent me a lovely little bouquet of flowers and a hand-signed card.
Very sweet.

(3,875 posts)I even used their talk to a vet service because Dakota needs to receive Gabapentin and Trazedone before vet visits. He just freaks out so the vet said he needed them. I was a little nervous about giving them the first time, so I called Chewy's vet line they offer to autoship customers and the vet assured me it was safe to do.

(2,727 posts)In our town we have a strange problem with FedEx drivers delivering packages from Chewy. There have been so many calls from local citizens, both to FedEx and to Chewy, that Chewy is now aware of the problem. When FedEx fails to deliver a Chewy package, when they leave it next to a rural mailbox and it gets stolen, or when they take it to the wrong house, Chewy simply replaces it, no questions asked and no charge. We have had to have packages re-sent three times so far. I asked Chewy if I could pay extra to have them ship via UPS or even USPS, but no go there. However, they added DELIVER TO HOUSE to all our shipping labels. The next package was left, illegally, in our rural mailbox (which is not in sight of our house).
In all this aggravation, Chewy comes through every time.

(55,131 posts)My Marigny passed away last month, and we had an unopened bag of her food, which was special order. I asked if I could return it. They emailed me, first addressing the loss of Marigny, then said they would credit my account and just donate the food.
They are a great company who cares about their human and furry customers!

(16,533 posts)an unopened toy. The customer service rep gave me a refund and told me to donate the toy to my local shelter, which I did. During the interaction, mentioned that my mid teen cat had died unexpectedly over a year ago. To my surprise, not long afterward, a sympathy card from Chewy arrived.
