Well, The Ring Is Off!

Went to a jewelry store about 20 miles from our house.
I texted them about 6 this morning to see if they did ring removal. An hour later they texted yes, and they open at 10.
She had a special too that has a little hook on the tip, and a cutting wheel the crank like a can opener. Took a minute & a half!
There was no charge! So, I decided to use them for the resizing.
But, she said my finger has to be sans ring for a couple weeks so the indentation mostly goes away.
So, for 2 weeks I won't have a ring on that finger for more than a half-hour for the first time since March 1980.

Maybe I’ll try go Billy Graham and do mega church of course with CDL truck parking.

Donate $1000 bucks you’ll get a reserved pull through slot to park the rig.

Of course I’ll have showers fuel available I’ll charge em shower oh and truck drivers gift shop with restaurant.

With cheap shit in gift shop from China I’ll have China pay the tariffs cost.

I was proud of my mom for going to college in the 30s leaving her home as a teenager. They only got to go home for Christmas and she was just across Chesapeake Bay.

We had a coworker who was a little off center. A lady asked him if he could get a ring off of her swollen finger. He said “Sure. Did ya bring it with ya?”

in 2019, I took my wedding ring off, after my finger started swelling. I have a small tray on my dresser with my ring, my husband's ring and his keys.
I've got a large silver ring I wear once in awhile if I feel like wearing jewelry. It's showy and keeps the finger from bending

It lets you open the ring up, slide it down over an enlarged knuckle, and then close it up.

On two of my attempts to get it off, she was on the couch right next to me.
She knew this last resort was the only option.
I'll get it repaired & resized in a couple weeks. My MRIs will be behind me by then.

Water to get it off yourself. It’s really painful to do this and it pretty much destroys your ring although it sounds like the OP found a jeweler who is willing to work with what’s left. When I’ve witnessed this being done before, the person’s finger turned colors that fingers are not supposed to be while we live.

Actually, very painful. I’m glad they did that for you for free. It would be kind of mean to charge to do that humanitarian work. I’m glad you’ll work with him in the future for the resize.

I can see why EMTs would carry them.
I wasn't in any pain, because the ring still fit ok where it normally sits.
Getting it to the knuckle was a non-starter, though. The chronic tendinitis got me.
