I’m very sorry to learn of this. He’s a funny guy and is very active online usually. I love his writing.

He must be devastated. Poor guy.

my dear friends,

it is with great sadness that I must share the terrible news that Claudia Long, my wife for the past 41 years and the love of my life for the past 46, passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning.

I am in shock right now and I am numb.

thank you all for hanging in there with me. I’ll be back to writing in a few days.

This had to have been unexpected. Mrs. Spouse will be missed. Seth Triggs left this comment that was so well said:

Things like "full credit to Mrs. Spouse for the idea for today's post." He would also playfully ignore her when she pleaded for him to use the Secretary of "War" hitting himself in the cajónes with a skateboard GIF less often.

…To know that the brilliant Jeff Tiedrich has to suffer this loss at such a horrible time Would that he might see our condolences and love and for him; he’s been a cathartic, comforting, consistent, droll, faithful “friend” to me, one who keeps me sane. I’m sure the same is felt by millions. I’m so sorry Jeff. You are SUCH A BEACON OF HOPE IN A WEARY WORLD
