Seeing things that most people don’t . Even if it’s a very common object, looking at it a different way. How the light reflects off it a certain way. Colors in the shadows. A different angle. Even how you compose it on the canvas.

You just never know where your next painting is going to come from. I had an amazing photographer teacher in high school who basically taught us how to look.
