My cat Dave

This painting was done in oils over a gouache underpainting, which seemed to work pretty well. Dave is one of a pair of big (14 lb.) brothers I adopted in December. Now I have to paint his almost identical, but not quite, brother Chet.

Great journalists along with Cronkite - hardly any of those left any more. But these are two great cats.
