This was quite a while ago. I didn't recognize him because I'm not a GD fan, but one night off while on business in SoCal, I went to the Guitar Center on Sunset.
He was in there with a crowd around him, and I had to ask who he was!
When the crowd calmed down (apparently he had gotten there a couple minutes before I walked in) I went over to say hi. All I really remember was that we were pretty much the same height.
