It didn't look pink to my eyes; it looked more like some vanilla ice cream. Too rocky to eat!

We always hope for peace someplace.

It was bright here as well, but the color was more very pale yellow, almost the same as vanilla ice cream. My camera couldn't capture it.

Where is RVA?

Short snout, white fur, short black ears that hang down.

Either that, or a somewhat portly guy in profile, facing camera-left, dark hair, maybe balding on top, with bald spot covered by what looks like some sort of dark-colored, pointy brimless, service cap.

I haven’t had a toke all day. I think I’m just a bit weird.

I see something like what you described, but for me it's facing camera right.

Hope you enjoyed it, whatever it looked like!

Did you use a tripod?
You take such great pix of the moon, you must be born under Cancer, the Moonchild.

I always use a tripod. The camera/lens combo is fairly heavy for me, and a tripod gives me huge amounts of stability!

In fact, I'm using a new tripod that's a lot sturdier than my lightweight one.

Alas, I am not a Cancer. I was born under the sign Sagittarius.

Hmmm, 12 Xs Optical zoom, with 40X digital increase; and looking at The Moon. Around the '10s.

While it wasn't as a close up as I'd seen decades earlier w a friend's telescope while in College having a get together w a bunch of us - seeing about 1/8th or even closer of it: the 12Xs got me to actually get to see the craters, and shadows without even having to have a telescope, or without having to pay a boatload of money back when I had a film SLR to get a ?600mm or so lens.

The tech had advanced so far, I could just have a camera. It was amazing!

I hear you about seeing the craters for the first time. It is plainly mindboggling!

I feel very lucky to have a great zoom (100--400mm) with an internal zoom (2X extender) as well that is digital. Push a button and the photo shows the object as much larger with no loss of detail! I love it.

Glad you enjoyed seeing my photo tonight!
