The little village, now tourist trap, under the acropolis. Originally a fishing village and port. It is very picturesque. here are a few. from there. We were lucky to hit the town early as it filled up shortly after noon.

(14,233 posts)As for tourist traps, that one ain't nuthin. I went to Newport, R.I., last week for the first time in 20 or so years --- an entire town, serving no purpose but to separate gringos from their money.

(5,745 posts)The price was also digital. Body, 18-55 f3.5, UV filter. And massive 4 gig memory chip, and sales tax. $1010.10
Okay details. Nikon D5200 lens used, new to me. Nikon DX VR 18-300 3.5-6.3.
I have 2 other lenses that are the same but shorter.. Came with 18-55 3.5-4X
Then I wanted a bit more length so I bought the 18-105 3,5 - 5.6
I like the feel. It reminds me of my FM2 with the motor drive. I haven't scratched the programing and use.

Read a review from 2024 about the FM2. Here's part: The biggest difference between the Nikon FM and the Nikon FM2 is the faster shutter speed at 1/4000th of a second, it was somewhat unheard of during its time especially since the Nikon FM2 is a fully mechanical camera (no batteries needed to operate). In production from 1982-2001, this camera is one the most reliable film cameras you can buy on the second-hand market today.
No battery! How cool was that! I had a used Fe2 at the time. It served well until Nikon's D70 changed my life to digital.
Yesterday SheltieLover thanked you for the vicarious vacation. That's your gift to us and I appreciate it too!
