Heron

In recently created wetland site in Kenmore, WA

Unfortunately my camera phone was set to high efficiency 12MP at the time and it moved before I could change the settings to 24MP / most compatible.

It's a shame, but I have to keep on the other setting most of the time to keep from using too much memory and then when something like this happens I am usually unprepared.

I love these birds. When I lived in Virginia Beach, I would watch them through my sliding glass door in the dining room while they posed in the pond and looked for food. They are one of my favorite birds. 😍

Excellent composition. Tall grass foreground, Heron standing tall, vegetation, running water, pretty rock formation background. Too bad the bird moved. Next time you'll get him.

I don't know how many times I've missed a good shot because I'd had the wrong settings. Good Try!
