Anyone else watching Sheriff Country?

SHERIFF COUNTRY: STREAM IT OR SKIP IT?
Opening Shot: Police cars driving through a small California town.

The Gist: The town is Edgewater, and interim sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) and her deputy, Boone (Matt Lauria) are reporting to a scene where guns have been drawn. Mickey knows both of the men who are pointing guns at each other; they’re brothers who are having an emotional dispute right after their mother’s funeral.

After defusing that situation, Mickey uses the phone tracker she has for her daughter Skye (Amanda Arcuri) and sees she’s not where she is supposed to be. When she rolls by, she sees that Skye is with her boyfriend Brandon (John Daniel), whom Mickey busted for possession a few weeks prior. He runs away from her and she finds out he has oxy in his backpack. Instead of arresting him, though, she takes him to the house of Travis (Christopher Gorham), who is Skye’s mother and is “sort of my lawyer,” as Ethan put it.

This is also where she finds out that Travis is in a relationship with Cassidy Campbell (Michele Weaver), one of her deputies and someone who has always considered Mickey to be a mentor.

Our Call: STREAM IT. Sheriff Country has already set up some good stories and rivalries in its first episode, and Baccarin strikes the right tone as a person who wants to keep her hometown safe.
