Does it work alright?
I admit that I've been wanting to get a solar oven for a while (in case of blackouts), but I haven't wanted to spend the money for a ready-made one. If I could make one myself, though, . . .

(13,259 posts)6. There are directions on line, I'm sure. It's made
of a carton inside of a carton with crumpled newspaper between the two. You cut out a square from a lid and insert a piece of glass. It's very easy to make. It works great. I've baked cakes, and cooked simple meals such as franks and beans, it needs attention
You have to move it over time. It's the anti-crockpot!
