Frequent topping off of gas tanks causes extreme crowding and congestion at gas stations and in the streets, costing everyone time effort and money. This is not good advice.

Following Loma Prieta in '89, electricity was shut off in San Francisco for days. Can't pump gas without electricity. I always top off when the tank hits 5/8 to 1/2.

I was down to just above 1/4 of a tank so I filled up today. I limit my driving so my hybrid CR-V should be good for the next month.
