From AlertDC: “DC Fire & EMS is responding to a Metrobus fire in the 9th Street Tunnel. The tunnel is closed. Heavy smoke is in the area, close windows and doors if nearby. Avoid the 9th Street Tunnel and expect delays.”

“Bus fire 9th Street tunnel NW. Bus well involved. Request foam unit task force, additional truck and rescue squad. Working to establish a water supply.”

“Update bus fire 9th St tunnel. Bus well involved. Working to establish fire attack strategy and confirm evacuation of all civilians who were in vehicles in tunnel.”
