Delta cases are exploding in several states. The outbreaks in June focused on states with very low vaccination rates, including Missouri and Arkansas.
Florida is a little bit different. According to COVID Act Now data, Florida has vaccinated 55% of residents with at least one dose, compared to only 47% in Missouri, 44% in Arkansas.

Which is fairly good, although you can see the Republican panhandle lagging.

I saw reports of a doctor in Alabama with patients on vents in ICU asking for the vaccine. He had to tell them, it's too late.

Also colours on opposite end of the spectrum are to close in hue.

(778 posts)I already knew my County isn't doing well, but thank you for those Maps. Our hospitalizations have definitely skyrocketed. Too many rednecks in the mix.
Not sure who is posting to worldometer because the governor only wants the info released weekly, but most days it is posted on worldometer ,which is a good thing to keep people up-to-date. I think his ego gets in the way. My estimation is that we will soon be at 10,000 per day the way we have been increasing. Yesterday we had 8988 new cases.
