Canyon County recruiting poll workers for upcoming elections

BOISE, Idaho — Canyon County is seeking the public's help with the election process.

The county's elections office on Friday released information about open applications for poll workers in the area. Interested applicants must be U.S. citizens and at least 16 years old. Officials said hired workers must also attend mandatory trainings in order to learn how to operate voting equipment.

"Poll workers are essential to maintaining fair, transparent, and accessible elections in Canyon County," a news release from Canyon County Elections said. "We encourage residents to get involved and be part of this important civic process."

Canyon County is reportedly looking for individuals who "value the integrity of the elections process and enjoy working with the public."
