My 'go to' place when I really don't want to spend money but where I always found a goodie at a fantastic price.

Sorry they went bankrupt. Nothing has taken their place. Today I had the urge to poke around. Since I am an original Yankee, mall stores do not attract me. I decided to vacuum the house instead. Would rather have gone to Bldg 19.

1. Is there an OCEAN STATE anywhere near you?

Those are hidden gems...! Lots of crap, changes frequently, with a few staples...many bargains, but a few things that aren't a particular value, so you have to keep your eye on the prices!!!

The first time I heard that description of OS, I nearly wet my pants.

There's one near me, but it always smells like kennel full of a wet dogs.

Great prices on Burpee vegetable seeds in the spring, though. I'll have to don the hazmat suit and check it out soon.

3. They have great "weird" stuff. Different ones tend to specialize in different things.

Never got the wet dog vibe in the ones I've been in.
