Stephen Lynch airs concerns about stadium, Bernie Sanders

Q: I wanted to ask about the Olympic stadium because I think thats the piece you have the biggest issue with in terms of the Olympics 2.0?
A: Right, theyve got a 69,000-seat stadium planned for Widett Circle just outside of Andrew Square. My friend the mayor says he can do it by building a temporary stadium and he has a plan. I am not persuaded yet but we have texted in the last couple of days and were going to sit down and have a cup of coffee. ... (Walsh is) a good man, I trust him, but I need to protect the neighborhood and he understands that. I need to have some lead-pipe guarantees that the neighborhood is going to be protected. ... I love the endgame, its just the 69,000-seat stadium for three weeks, that is sort of causing me to choke. But I think there are some solutions out there we just got to figure them out and we also have to get the input of the neighborhood. You need to get the trust of the people. Thats why were having such a difficult problem with this thing overall.
Q: In terms of Hillary Clinton, does she have an excitement problem? How do you account for Bernie Sanders? What do you think about him and why do you think hes gotten so much attention?
A: Well, Ill tell you what, if Bernie Sanders is our nominee, we are going to have a Republican president and Im not excited about that. So, so, I mean, thats plain and simple. ... Bernie has worked on a couple of issues with me in Congress on post-reform. Hes a solid senator and a good man. But I know what the Republicans will do in the general election with regard to Bernie being proud of being a socialist candidate, things like that. They will have a field day with Bernie Sanders, and so I think Hillary Clinton is our best chance on the Democratic side. Shes got the whole package, shes been there, shes done that. You know, she was our secretary of state, shes our most qualified candidate in some time.

(5,069 posts)4. From this very limited discussion it sounds like
he's ambivalent about the 2024 Olympics....
He has issues with the stadium rather than saying 'hell no!'.....just my read of the above information.
