If Klobuchar is the next governor I hope that she nominates Craig to succeed her

2. She has been representing the second Congressional district, flipped it in 2018

A moderate appealing to both urban and rural voters.

Is now running for the senate but appears to be lagging behind the far left mood that is sweeping the state.

She voted for the heinous Laken Riley act, then hopped on the anti-ICE bandwagon after Minneapolis was invaded.

I think of it as more New Deal or Great Society mood.

Craig lost me two years ago when she ran ads that basically said she wasn't "that much" of a Democrat. She proved that with her immigration votes & her sudden, shameless flip flop on the issue when she figured out her original position wouldn't get her elected statewide. I just don't trust her.

She's running against Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan for Tina Smith's Senate seat; Flanagan, who is a progressive, is strongly favored for the party endorsement and is also likely to win the primary, though unfortunately Craig plans to run against her anyhow. We don't need that right now. So if she really wants to be a senator maybe she should hope to be appointed Klobuchar's replacement instead of stirring up an inter-party fight.

MN already has one pending opening, that of Tina Smith, who is retiring. If Klobuchar becomes governor that's another one, and there's no reason why she couldn't appoint Craig (or anyone else) to that position.
