Carson Doorley (R) elected Arkport mayor. See Steuben, Allegany results
Republican Carson Doorley was elected mayor of Arkport in the March 18 village election.
A physical therapist at St. James Hospital and a political newcomer, Doorley easily bested Democratic village trustee Patricia Amidon, racking up 110 votes to 38 for Amidon.
Doorley will take office in April, succeeding two-term Democrat George Prete who did not run for reelection.
Doorley said he is “deeply honored and grateful” for the trust the community placed in him.
