SPOLIGHT RACE: Jessica McClay for PA-HD121
Jessica McClay was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre. A graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and Bloomsburg University, Jessica and her husband Robb raised their three children in the North End where they have lived for more than 30 years. She is now a proud grandmother.
Jessica first became involved in the community as many of us do: as a coach for her kids T-ball and softball teams for 15 years. Learning to love service, she joined the Wilkes-Barre Planning Commission, the Wilkes-Barre Traffic Committee, and served ten years on the Wilkes-Barre Fire and Civil Service Board.
In 2024, Jessica ran for Wilkes-Barre City Council, and in 2026, became Chairwoman of the Council. During her service, Jessica collaborated with the Mayor and the city administration to pursue more grant opportunities and secured essential resources while shifting the financial burden away from taxpayers. Jessica supported funding for our first responders, acquiring specialized gear-washing equipment to protect firefighters from carcinogens and helping to modernize the Wilkes-Barre Police Departments fleet with ten new vehicles. Jessica, committed to responsible government spending, also declined to participate in the Wilkes-Barre Employee Pension Program in order to save taxpayer money.
Now, Jessica McClay is running to be your State House Representative. She is committed to serving the people of the 121st District, and is the most qualified and dedicated candidate that will fight for you in Harrisburg.
