Pflugerville voters to choose between these two candidates in mayoral runoff election Saturday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Voters in the city of Pflugerville will head to the polls again on Saturday to choose their next mayor after none of the candidates in the Nov. 4 election received more than 50% of the vote.

A runoff election for the position of Mayor was called on Nov. 18, 2025, according to the city. Voters on Dec. 13 will choose between the two candidates who received the most votes in the November election: Pat McCord and Doug Weiss.

Incumbent Mayor Victor Gonzales, officeholder since 2016, was term-limited and did not seek reelection. Four candidates ran in the November election to succeed him.

Weiss led the way, with 47% of the vote, falling short of the 50% threshold needed to win without a runoff. McCord advanced to the runoff with just under 35% of the vote.
