Everett opens rebuilt, relocated Mall Station
EVERETT Everett Transit began operations at a relocated Mall Station on Sunday, bringing a number of upgrades to the busy south Everett transit hub.
The $2 million station is just 500 feet west from where the previous transit center was located. The city undertook the project as the Everett Mall plans to expand its footprint.
Permit filings show that the building set to take up the space previously occupied by the station is a new Topgolf facility, in the works for more than a year and set to come to Everett as part of a redevelopment effort at the Everett Mall, known as The Hub @ Everett, which is expected to open in 2026.
Everett Transit wouldnt have relocated the platform if the redevelopment of the mall wasnt set to occur, a spokesperson previously told The Daily Herald, but it gave the transit agency an opportunity to build an improved station for both riders and operators.
