ONLY ONE RUNNING FOR THREE SPOTS: Village of Whiting seeking candidates for spring election
VILLAGE OF WHITING, Wis. (WAOW) - Spring elections are only about a month away, but in the Village of Whiting, the biggest challenge isn't debating the issues, it's finding anyone who wants to serve.
“It’s kind of a frustrating thing right now," says Bill Taugner, Whiting Village President.
This year the Village of Whiting has three openings for trustee positions, but only one candidate running.
Taugner says their concern is if they're short-handed, they'll need to appoint people who may need extra support.
