I wanted to share a tip

It is hard for me to fill the plastic snack bags that open on one end instead of across the side. I only use them for one thing, chopped raw chicken for my cat and I put 3 days worth into each bag. It is hard to fill the bags with something so messy. After a few experiemnts, I cut the bottom out of a medicine dose cup, the kind that come free with cough syrup or Pepto. It is the perfect size and while still a little challenging, it is much neater than before.

I'd keep buying the side opening bags, but not seeing them available or cheap.

There are silicon resilable bags that we use at our house and they freeze just fine. They’re great little food storage bags. I don’t know how many tortillas you eat but the tortilla bags make good storage bags too

I'll check for reusables, thanks. I hate using the bags. To be fair to myself, I use very little plastic aside from them, and recycle inner bags from cereal and crackers, and other sources. If I get any more cats after this one, they will not get chicken!

Not exactly free, but not expensive either
Perhaps these might serve you better
Simple to fill, top, and freeze
Also, no bags to spill

but got rid of the basement fridge, so I didn't have room for the cups. I still don't have room, unless I want to chop chicken more often (and I don't!) I try to have about 30 days chopped and frozen, and since there is a chicken shortage around me, got a little further ahead recently.

Thanks for the idea.
