Cleaning up your space

Last edited Sun Dec 21, 2025, 10:23 AM - Edit history (2)

I have accumulated an unbelievable amount of "stuff". Lots of stuff I really don't need. Not necessarily a hoarding situation, but a nuisance.

And I was stalled because my default garbage container is the typical bathroom size and I was overwhelmed with the volume.

Remedy: I went to Home Depot and found a 10-gallon blue recycling container. It's the right size for the white kitchen garbage bags.

And I placed it in the middle of my kitchen. And walked around room-to-room, picking up stuff and throwing it in the new container. Stuff like orphan socks that will never be reunited. A skirt I made 60 years ago in HS sewing class. The stuff in back of my frig that I forgot I had. You get the idea . . . .

Oh yeah, loud music and cold beer make this venture enjoyable.

My motivation is that I am moving in late February. I don't want to bring unnecessary things with me.

I am drinking while I'm doing it but your idea of beer and loud music is appealing.
