European Energy energises Northern Europe's largest combined solar and battery park

European Energy has commenced commercial operation of the Kvosted solar and battery park in Denmark, where a 200 MWh battery system will support local solar power storage and grid stability.
– European Energy has energised the Kvosted solar and battery park in Viborg Municipality, combining an existing solar park with a 200 MWh battery system that is the largest combined solar and energy storage facility of its kind in Northern Europe.
– The integrated battery system enables local storage of solar power, allowing electricity to be used when solar generation is low, supporting a more stable and flexible electricity system.
– The project is in accordance with European Energy’s broader focus on deploying battery capacity across its European portfolio to support the expansion of renewable energy.
