Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan sentenced to 14 years in prison - DW News

Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a corruption case.

He's already behind bars for other graft convictions. His wife Bushra Bibi was given a seven-year prison term. The couple had been accused of accepting land from a real estate tycoon in exchange for laundered money. Khan's party says it will challenge the verdict in higher courts.

This is what should have happened to Trump but we had too many weak and gutless Criminal Justice professionals who slow walked the Trump cases. Trump was guilty of insurrection and treason, betrayed his oath to the US Constitution. He should have been jailed but no one had the guts to go after him save Jack Smith and a few others like Judge Merchan. Trump should be in jail, not in the White House. It is a black mark on our country's history, and it is not over yet. God knows what will happen in the next several years. Justice delayed is justice denied.
