Russia Breached - Joe Blogs

In today’s video, we discuss the news that Ukraine has struck a Russian submarine using an unmanned underwater drone, inside a naval base Russia believed was safe.

This wasn’t a missile attack. There was no radar warning. No launch detected. Instead, Ukraine says it used a subsea drone — often referred to as “Sub Sea Baby” — to breach Russia’s defences and hit a high-value naval asset.

We look at what kind of submarine was targeted, why these platforms are so difficult to defend, how much a submarine like this can cost, and why even damaging one can have serious military and financial consequences.

More importantly, we explore what this tells us about the changing nature of the war — and why this kind of strike sends a powerful message at a critical moment for Ukraine.
