Russia has reached the point where banks are preparing for drone defense. Moscow is moving bank staff and major businesses into the security role because Ukraine’s drones are exposing the rear of Putin’s war machine. Ukraine is forcing Russia to protect banks, factories, Crimea, air defenses, military sites, and state institutions at the same time.

Crimea keeps getting hit while Russian air defense is stretched across too many targets. Businesses are asking for weapons because they no longer trust the state to protect them. Banks face new pressure from a war that was supposed to stay far from Russia’s financial system. Putin sold control, but the war is now pushing civilian institutions toward the battlefield.

Once bank staff need weapons against drones, Russia’s rear is no longer secure. Kremlin power depends on fear, money, and the promise that Moscow can protect its own system. Ukraine is breaking that promise in front of Russia’s banks, businesses, and occupied Crimea.
