Gallbladder-free I was bad today

Im super depressed today. I had my gallbladder removed months ago. Like an idiot I ate half a pint of full fat ice cream and heavy whipped cream. I know I'm a moron. Now I'm getting some pain where my GB was.

After surgery is a rough time. Your body doesn't feel right and you are fatigued. Of course you want some comfort food. I lost my gb years ago and, over time, one learns what one can 'get away with.' For example, I can have a fried fish&chips dinner or I can have a fried fish&hush puppies dinner, but if I eat fried fish, all the French fries, and all three hush puppies, well, it isn't pretty. So you are just learning the ropes. It will get better.

He keeps a supply of bovine bile pills around so he can enjoy fatty foods at times. Not all the time, but once in a while. It does help.

Still getting some nausea--especially after breakfast if I have oatmeal. Go figure.

My surgeon did send me home with anti-nausea meds.

Just asking 'cause milk and brown sugar are my traditional add-ons. Oh, and raisins.

look like an amateur. I’m bad about overindulging when I’m stressed. I end up feeling even worse when the sugar buzz wears off…. but I still do it.
