Slow Horses on Apple+

I've finally found a reason to really like Gary Oldman in a role. Maybe because he could speak in his native British accent, or maybe because the writing was just so good, but I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 seasons that I just finished (at least 2 more seasons coming). For contrast, Australian actor Hugo Weaving used an American accent, and I just cannot stand when that happens. Inevitably, when I find an actor that just rubs me wrong, 9 times out of 10 it's because they're using an accent (usually American) that is not native to them. Then, when I finally see them in a role using their normal voice, they suddenly seem normal to me. It was this way with Oldman for me. Although, I don't actually know if this was his native accent, but it was leagues better than any American accent he ever used.

But anyway, a great series, although it took a few tries to finally hook me. Now I can't wait for Season 5.
