First time in my 40 years running I've clocked 2k might try for 2400 next year, a nice round 200 a month.
And yes, I do have mental issues

(44,644 posts)Congratulations on an impressive achievement. Ive walked about 800 miles a year for several years. My running days are over. Grumpy old doctor told me move everyday and when you think youve moved enough move some more.

(5,235 posts)I'm lucky enough to still be able to do this at 46, but I realize it's not exactly something everyone can do so I encourage everyone to do what they can, and make damn sure to say it's as impressive as anything I do. 800 miles is a lot!

(1,181 posts)I ran a marathon the year I turned 67 - dont tell anyone it took me 7 hours doing walk-run intervals - but I finished it! I had not been a runner but started training in June and did the marathon in January. Two bad knees but I always feel good after a run, even if its only just a mile.
Keep moving!

Thanks for the motivation and CONGRATULATIONS
