What's for Dinner, Fri., Dec. 12, 2025

Soup. Making two kinds:

French onion

Chicken noodle with roasted root vegetables. Roasted carrots, onion, leeks, rutabaga. Butter noodles.

Different kinds of miniature sandwiches on rye: Swiss cheese & corned beef, mesquite chicken with horseradish cheddar, plant-based chorizo, tuna salad with banana peppers.

Salad, tossed redtip and spicy mustard greens. Cucumber, scallion, yellow pepper. Feta cheese crumbles. Lemon vinaigrette. Also cherry tomatoes in balsamic.

Kombucha: Pineapple.

Dessert: Banana tapioca pudding. Hot orange Tazo tea.

a bowl of hot steamy chili, and a brat for dinner.

Later before bedtime, I have a toss salad ready in the fridge. All I need to do is to put my poppy seed dressing on it.

Egg rolls, cold noodles with sesame sauce, moo shu pork and orange slices. Hot black tea.

Closed up the mountain house for the winter. Heading to Panama for the warmth!

Seitan bacon on multigrain bread with tomato, romaine and vegan cheddar, I used pine nut hummus instead of mayonnaise and the sandwich was delicious. Also made a side salad of cherry tomatoes, cucumbers. sliced onion with a creamy dill dressing. Cheers!🥂
