Related: About this forumWe made a rather large tactical error with our cats
At some point during their first year with us (we got them as kittens) we let them each have a small taste of whipped cream from a can.
Now whenever they hear one of us putting whipped cream on something, they come running and meowing.
We can't resist.

(14,370 posts)When my first cat Amos was a kitten, he would eat anything I was eating. One day I was sitting on the couch eating raspberry Newtons and he scarfed some pieces down, even fighting with me over one. I had just started giving him the run of the house, always being greeted by him when I got home from work, when one day he didn't appear. I called his name and searched the usual hiding places but no Amos. Then I started upstairs and found a bag of raspberry Newtons halfway up the stairs. It was a bag I had just bought the day before and had left on the kitchen counter. It was unopened but there were small slashes in the plastic in one corner. I went to my bedroom and found Amos sound asleep on the bed. He must have been exhausted from taking the bag off the counter, dragging it down the hallway to the stairs and then halfway up the staircase.
