It seems that decision has already been made. By Carys.

(27,415 posts)Well, and she's filling a big hole in my heart from when I lost Morgan.

(122,796 posts)as she understands more and more that she's safe and loved. She'll soon be a cuddly lap cat like the others.

(95,079 posts)Arthur was taking command a bit much, Carys might tone that down a bit.
FuzzyRabbit
(2,112 posts)He had spent seven years in a chaotic house (autistic kids plus another cat that bullied him relentlessly.)
After he became familiar with my house and me, I started giving him gabapentin (prescribed by his veterinarian) for a few weeks, and now he is a calm, gentleman of a cat.
Gabapentin also helped my sister's cat who had been traumatized prior to her taking the cat in.
Talk to your veterinarian. Perhaps gabapentin will help your cat also.

(27,415 posts)I also thought about getting Feliway that uses pheromones to ease stress.
Fingers crossed I can get her into the carrier, next week, and we'll go to the vet to get her vaccinations started and schedule her spaying.

A girl in the group will help keep the boys in line though it sounds like she might be an instigator. Just hope she doesn't become the Ma Barker type!
