Related: About this forumNollie report...
Five months old, and she's 3 pounds four ounces (almost five) with most of her weight in floof. Her XXXS harness finally fits correctly. So, lead training is on the horizon.
She knows several words. Her favorites are cheese, brush, and "chewie," which is my nickname for Dingo dental sticks. She gets very excited about those three.
She follows commands with verbal and hand signals for go potty, sit, stay, stay back, go to bed, get the ball, jump up, and give me a kiss.
Her favorite toy is her ball. She falls asleep with it in her mouth. She loves attacking her stuffed fox and monkey in their faces. She takes her stuffed dog toy to bed with her and drags her blanket around when she's ready for a nap.
She loves to hang out on my left shoulder, especially when we go for rides in the car.
Every where we go, everyone loves her. She's very sweet and loves to give kisses.
I am so thankful that she's here to help me heal the broken heart that the loss of Chi Chi and Butterbean left me with when they crossed the bridge in December.
Thanks for letting me share and for the outpouring of love and support.

(22,791 posts)he's a 10-month-old Leonberger/Newfoundland who is a mere 115 lbs. But a gentle soul, even at his young age.
All the best to you and Nollie, LMSP! She sounds like a sweetheart.

(27,233 posts)I love big dogs, too. One of the dogs we had when I was growing up was a 250 pound St. Bernard. He was a gentle soul, too.
Kisses to Koko, from Nollie.

(22,791 posts)That's a true giant! How long did he live?

(27,233 posts)The neighborhood cats would bring him their kittens. He was the babysitter.
He used to let me rest my head on him like a pillow when I would lay on the floor and watch TV.
We got him when I was eight and he passed away just after I started my second semester of my freshman year in college, so eleven years.
When he was a puppy he gained a pound a day. For the vet to calculate his weight we weighed him in the car and then we weighed the car without him. Their scales weren't even close to capable in his case.
His slobber was epic, by the way.
Thanks for asking, True.
