(4,393 posts)That I received a scam Medicare call from some unknown location in India, Pakistan or other foreign country?
Or that I received yet another Advantage Medicare call that may or may not be a scam? But I'd have to listen to their whole spiel before I can even begin to tell.
I get at least 4 or 5 of these calls per day. For years. It's so bad I recognize the automated voices of several of the same outfits. "Hello? Are you there?" Saves time because I can just hang up.

(4,393 posts)Perhaps it does cut down on overall calls, but only from legitimate companies. The scammers ignore it, and many other organizations are exempt.
And no, I'm not going to call some beleaguered understaffed Medicare department to tell them that I received some call that can't be traced. All they can do is confirm it was not from Medicare, and I already know that.
