(7,962 posts)Who is no longer with us. Jeff is his son; the only one I read of his is Gods and Generals - he is not in the ballpark of his father as a writer.

I don't believe I've ever gotten around to reading any of the ones the son wrote.

(29,337 posts)It seems to me that his father's "Gods And Generals" has attained somewhat of a cult following over the years---and I say that as an admirer of that fine book. Yet and still, I believe Jeff Shaara's works are better than 90% of the wartime fiction we see coming out, these days. Just my opinion.
