I'm in the middle of The Secret History and can recognize the growth of her voice and art from this first work to the latest.

(16,331 posts)I am almost finished and parts of it are depressing to me because I'm feeling sorry for all this guy has gone through in his life. The prose is amazing though and it is very well written. Maybe summertime isn't the time to read something like this
